the Zectron electric bike

Many companies are working on the creation of a practical city electric bike, each with its own vision of the ideal solution. Startup Zectron decided to focus on maximum mileage and foldable design. A 25 kg e-bike has a claimed range of up to 250 km on a single charge, which is more than enough for a week of daily commuting.

Zectron is a city electric bike with 20″ wheels, an aluminum frame that folds in two units. A rear wheel with shock absorption and a saddle with height adjustment for greater comfort. A capacious battery is hidden inside the frame, and quite aesthetically – without hanging wires.

The electric drive here is typical – a rear wheel motor with a power of 250 (for Europe) or 350 W (for the USA) with five levels of support. The maximum speed is 25 or 32 km/h. Chain transmission with 7 speed cassette.

Of the interesting additions: the bike has a GPS module, and there is support for a proprietary mobile application with tracking the location of the bike.

The model is only presented on the crown-finding site, the estimated retail price (MSRP) will be $1999.
